Not sure if you noticed ( I guess facts aren't your thing) but cstevens has not written anything since May. And I humbly disagree with you. I don't think it is asking a lot for any writer to do a minor spell check before posting or GOD FORBID get their facts CORRECT before posting. It is not the opinion cstevens had issues with, it was the facts that Mr Appel never got right and never bothered to check or the rules and policies he knowingly broke. And you are going to tell me he has respect for the artists in this town?
I do not think it is too much in asking for full disclosure and saying 'Gee, I didn't see the entire play, so maybe I cannot comment on it fully." And I think it is IRRESPONSIBLE to post gossip and rumors that have a potentially harmful effect to those involved. Mr Appel crossed over the line when he posted libel about the Globe and its staff. And you want us to support that?
The behavior by Mr Appel when he goes to see shows has at times been appalling. He is rude and condescending and then he cannot even get facts correct. His sense of entitlement is embarrassing. That is not supporting the arts, Mr Brawley. That is what is killing them. Mr Appel needs to be more responsible in his writing. Otherwise- he does ALL artists harm.
